Sabine Wren has always been the most colorful member of the crew of the Ghost, but for multiple seasons, her destiny has been mysterious. We know Kanan and Ezra are tangled up in the future of the Jedi Knights, Hera is will become a general in the Rebel Alliance, and Zeb is on the path to avenge the genocide of his people. For two seasons, Sabine has blown stuff up and painted some pretty rad graffiti, but in this new preview for "Star Wars Rebels" it seems obvious that there are great things in store for the Rebellion's Mandalorian.

Now that she's liberated the Darksaber from Maul, Sabine needs to train to use it. She's turning to Kanan Jarrus, the best swordsman she knows. She's picking the right teacher; even blind, Kanan is formidable, and has no problem knocking Sabine in the dirt. Still, she has a few cool tricks up her sleeve -- literally. Her laser-whip looks like Wonder Woman's lasso, and is an effective way of retrieving her weapon, even without the Force.

The Darksaber is an ancient weapon, forged by the first Mandalorian ever to join the Jedi Order. Even when the Mandalorian people flirted with a culture of pacifism, the Darksaber was a symbol of power and status. Darth Maul stole it in "Star Wars Clone Wars," and temporarily usurped leadership of the Mandalorians. If Sabine masters its use, she could be taking her first steps in reuniting her people.

Or, as Ezra says in this trailer, "Whoa."

Starring the voices of Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kanan, Vanessa Marshall as Hera, Steve Blum as Zeb, Tiya Sircar as Sabine, Taylor Gray as Ezra, Dee Bradley Baker as Captain Rex, Captain Gregor and Commander Wolffe, Sam Witwer as Darth Maul and David Oyelowo as Agent Kallus, “Star Wars Rebels” airs Saturdays at 8:30pm ET on Disney XD.
