Saban Handling Release of Rob Zombie's '31' in the US

Saban Films has acquired the North American rights to Rob Zombie's ("Halloween") latest horror feature, "31."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Saban is releasing "31" on September 16, ahead of the 2016 horror movie season.

On the deal, Zombie said, "After meeting with Saban, it was obvious that this was the perfect home for '31'...They have a true understanding of the genre and how to handle it. I am very excited to work with them."

Having debuted at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, "31" is written and directed by Zombie, and stars Sheri Moon Zombie and Malcolm McDowell. It follows five kidnapped carnival works, who must survive 12 hours in a violent game against a group of sadistic clowns.
