The severed head of Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson as he appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine is up for auction.

As per the item description, the head was made for the movie's end-credits scene, where Wilson -- or Weapon XI, as he is known in the film -- survives his fall into a nuclear reactor on Three Mile Island and reaches out of the rubble to retrieve his severed head. However, that particular head went unused and is now being sold as part of Prop Store's London-based "Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction," which will take place on Dec. 1 and 2. It will be sold on Dec. 2, with the auction beginning at 2 p.m. GMT, and the starting bid is £500 GBP (approximately $660 USD). It is expected to sell for between £1,000 (approximately $1,322 USD) and £1,500 (approximately $1,981 USD).

"The head is made of fleshtone silicone with red rings around the eyes, black markings on the neck and urethane eyeballs inset," the item's description reads. There are "some signs of handling and wear, including peeling silicone," but Prop Store explains that the prop remains "in good overall condition."

Reynolds first portrayed Wade Wilson -- the alter ego of Deadpool -- in 2009, which was also the first time the character was in a live-action film. After the X-Men film series' timeline was reset following Days of Future Past, Reynolds reprised his role in 2016's Deadpool. He returned in the 2018 sequel where he got to kill the Weapon XI version, also portrayed by Reynolds.
