The middle of the week saw a new trailer for the upcoming animated film Teen Titans Go! to the Movies. In it, the Titans meet their sworn enemy Deathstroke and briefly get him mixed up with Deadpool, a not too uncommon occurrence in the real world.

Fortunately, Ryan Reynolds himself commented on the video to clarify things, true to his antiheroic nature.

"Deathstroke/Slade Wilson is nothing like Deadpool/Wade Wilson. Not sure where the confusion comes from.

- Ryan Gosling"

Naturally, the comments under Reynolds' jape find it hilarious. One comment even asks of the possibility of a Slade and Wade fanfic featuring Celine Dion, referencing the other big thing related to Reynolds from earlier this week.

This isn't the first instance of the humorous spat between Deadpool 2 and Titans Go!; a trailer from the former threw jabs at the typically dark films of the DC Universe, prompting the latter to call out Reynolds himself and his previous role as a Green Lantern.

All of this is in good fun, of course, and as the two films get closer to release, it's likely that they'll keep trading barbs with one another.

Deadpool 2 comes to theaters on May 18. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, TJ Miller, Morena Baccarin, Karan Soni, Briana Hildebrand, Rob Delaney and Lewis Tan. Teen Titans Go! to the Movies, meanwhile, will release on July 27. The film stars Scott Menville, Greg Cipes, Khary Payton, Tara Strong, Hynden Walch and Will Arnett.
