Ryan Reynolds is taking his new ownership of the English football club Wrexham AFC seriously, as evidenced by the "warning" he recently issued to the hit Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso for a joke made at his expense. The Deadpool star made known his official reaction to a joke made by the character Higgins regarding the seemingly unlikely new owners of Wrexham. Reynolds shares ownership with Rob McElhenney, of Mythic Quest and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia fame, which is reflected in the letterhead that reads, "From the desk of RR McReynolds." It's made clear they bear no ill will towards Higgins himself, but prefer if the show would "cease and desist from the casting of any doubt regarding our commitment to the club, the fans and the entire Wrexham community."Related: Ted Lasso's Secret Romance Just Became Wildly Scandalous

He goes on to demand "2 LARGE boxes of Ted Lasso's biscuits" be sent to Racecourse Ground, Wrexham AFC's home stadium, "[t]o avoid legal action." Apple TV's official Twitter account even seems to capitulate in a response tweet, writing that "Biscuits are on their way."

Parallels have been drawn between the two actors buying the struggling football club and the basic premise of Ted Lasso, wherein an American football coach comes to England in an attempt to bolster a fictional club called AFC Richmond. Reynolds and McElhenney insist their efforts are genuine. There's even a two-season FX documentary series in the works called Welcome to Wrexham.

Season 2 of Ted Lasso is now streaming on Apple TV+, with new episodes premiering every Friday.
