While Disney's acquisition of the majority of Fox's properties is looking to finalize early next year, Ryan Reynolds assured fans that plans for a third Deadpool film, as well as an X-Force spinoff, are still moving forward at a special screening of Deadpool 2 last night.

At a Deadpool 2 screening for the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences as part of the film's campaign for the Academy Award for Best Picture, Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld provided an overview of the Q&A with the Reynolds along with co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

Liefeld revealed that the writing team are still talking plans for a sequel with Wernick pitching a new story idea to Reynolds just before the Q&A began while Reese confirmed the X-Force film is still moving forward.

Additionally, Reynolds revealed there were other mid-credits scenes that ultimately went unused in Deadpool 2 including a scene of the Merc with a Mouth urinating on Shatterstar's grave, fan-favorite X-Force member Peter returning with a prosthetic arm, and a new team auditioning for a future mission.

In the meantime, fans can watch the more family-friendly Once Upon a Deadpool starring Ryan Reynolds, Zazie Beetz, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić, Julian Dennison, Josh Brolin, and Fred Savage. The alternate PG-13 cut of the film will be in theaters from December 12 to December 24.
