If you’ve ever wondered what Deadpool would look like as a Pokémon — and, really, who hasn’t? — then you’re in luck. “Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds shared a photo on his Twitter account of the Merc With a Mouth reimagined as the fan-favorite pocket monster Pikachu.
“I don’t know who made this, but thank you,” Reynolds wrote, adding the hashtag “#MaximumEffort.”

The adorable, yet undoubtedly deadly, Deadpool/Pikachu mashup wears the Merc With a Mouth’s signature red-and-black body suit, complete with a utility belt, and a sword strapped to its back. Look closely and you’ll notice a tiny Pokéball tied to the belt. Its body, however, undeniably Pikachu, with pointy ears and lightning bolt-shaped tail.
Fans can only dream that some day, some how, a PikaPool doll will find its way into stores. It certainly looks made — and the high-resolution photo only buoys our hopes that its part of promotional campaign for an upcoming toy line. Maybe Pokémon dolls for “Deadpool” co-stars Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead next.
“Deadpool 2” arrives in theaters Jan. 12, 2018.
