With Todd Phillips' Joker recently beating out Deadpool to become the highest-grossing R-rated film ever, Ryan Reynolds congratulated the movie using some of his trademark sarcasm."R-Rated box office congratulatory posts aren’t like the ones you’re used to..." Reynolds posted on Twitter. His message was accompanied by a Joker poster that read "You Mother F*cker." The poster also featured a heart emoji followed by several names: Deadpool, Neo, Pennywise, Jesus, Hugh Jackman, The Wolfpack, Mr. Grey and Ted.RELATED: Rob Liefeld Reveals Deadpool Concept Art of Cut X-Force Character

Some have wondered if the next installation of Deadpool would have a different rating since Disney's acquisition of Fox properties. However, the writers of the Fox series, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, have said that Disney and Marvel will allow Deadpool follow-ups to be R-rated.

Reynolds recently voiced Pikachu in the film Detective Pikachu and made a cameo in Hobbs & Shaw. The actor is set to appear in the upcoming films The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard and Free Guy. Reynolds recently posted an image of himself at the Marvel Studios office, leading some to guess Deadpool may be joining the MCU, though nothing has been officially confirmed.

Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais and Shea Whigham. The film is now in theaters.
