After months of fan speculation about a possible Taylor Swift cameo in Deadpool 3, Ryan Reynolds has finally addressed the rumors.

As reported by ET, when asked about a potential collaboration with the Grammy-award-winning singer, the Wade Wilson actor voiced his enthusiasm for the idea. "Are you kidding me? I would do anything for that woman. She's a genius," Reynolds explained. Unfortunately, though the Deadpool star would love to have the iconic singer included in the film, it doesn’t seem to be on the cards.

Rumors about Swift's appearance in Deadpool 3 first started circulating when Reynolds released a teaser video for the project. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot that the clip was shot at the same location as Swift’s All Too Well: The Short Film. Many took this as a cue that the singer-songwriter would make a cameo but Reynolds dispelled these rumors. "If we shoot the next Deadpool film in our house, then that would be that location," he stated.

The actor also discussed Swift’s new album Midnights which has broken several records since its release. Reynolds shared that his whole family is "obsessed" with her latest album. "All of us, whole house, I'm not kidding. I love it so much," he said. "I do, Blake does, my daughters. We love it."

Deadpool 3 is directed by Shawn Levy who previously worked with Reynolds in the action-comedy Free Guy. The highly-anticipated film will also see the return of Hugh Jackman as the iconic Wolverine, a reprisal that has been in the making for several years. "All we had to do was sell it to [producer] Kevin Feige, which didn't take long, and the next thing you knew here we are," explained Reynolds.

In an earlier interview, Jackman shared new details about his character’s qualities in the film, revealing that Wolverine is going to be angrier than fans remember. "And he’s going to take a lot of free shots at Ryan Reynolds -- physically, that is," joked Jackman. This was heavily implied in a comedic video that saw both Jackman and Reynolds miming a brawl between Logan and Deadpool.

Deadpool 3 is tentatively set to release on Nov. 8, 2024.
