Ryan Reynolds Calls Hugh Jackman 'Selfish' For Not Doing Deadpool/Wolverine

Although Hugh Jackman bid farewell to his role as Wolverine last year with the acclaimed Logan, fans still clamor for him to don the claws one final time in a team-up with Deadpool. Yet the actor remains steadfast, and only recently insisted the world doesn't really want such a crossover. Now Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, who's been relentless in his campaign to convince Jackman to change his mind, has weighed in, labeling the actor as "selfish."

Reynolds jokingly wrote on Twitter than Jackman is "no longer allergic to being selfish" in response to his comments about a potential crossover between the two antiheroes.

On Thursday, Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld also tried to "tempt" Jackman to sign on for a crossover, and posted with artwork of the two duking it out.

Although Jackman is no longer playing Wolverine, a crossover between the two characters could still be a possibility, as the X-Men and all related characters will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following the Disney/Fox merger. Jackman himself even stated that Wolverine will be back, albeit with a new actor.
