Fans want to name a street after actor Ryan Reynolds, but the Deadpool star has expressed that he is taking a hard pass.Kiss Radio, a Vancouver-based radio station, started a petition to name one of its city streets after Reynolds, who was born in Vancouver, Canada. However, the actor stated in a Twitter post that he respectfully declines because his brothers would have too much fun making jokes about a "Ryan Reynolds" street. He explained, "If traffic sucks everyone will say, 'Ryan Reynolds is a mess' or 'Ryan Reynolds is really backed up'."RELATED: Hugh Jackman Recruits Surprising Ally in Ongoing Ryan Reynolds 'Feud'

The petition had over 1,700 signatures when Reynolds tweeted his declination. Although Vancouver generally only names streets after significant people that have died, the petition stated that Reynolds deserves an exception because of all of his good deeds and humanitarian efforts. According to the petition, Reynolds is a "beloved local treasure who encapsulates the best of Vancouverites," and is "technically Dead(pool) anyway."

The petition also recognized some of Reynold's good deeds including donating $500,000 to help homeless and at-risk children, helping a woman find a teddy bear that contained the voice of her late mother, buying 400 pizzas for graduates who missed their graduation due to coronavirus (COVID-19), and helping 300 kids obtain new winter coats.

The petition has been edited since Reynolds humbly declined its request. On Nov. 28, 2020, it was updated to say "So...should we keep it going, even if it's just for the hilarious puns and the reasons he listed?"
