Via his official Twitter account this morning, "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds revealed the first full look at his suit from the upcoming film.

Reynolds, who advocated for the film for years, originally played a version of the character in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." When test footage from the potential "Deadpool" film leaked online in 2014, it generated enough interest among fans that Fox set the then-stalled film's production into motion.

Reynolds is joined in the film by Morena Baccarin ("Homeland," "Firefly") as Vanessa "Copycat" Carlysle, T.J. Miller ("Cloverfield," "Big Hero 6") as Weasel and Gina Carano ("Haywire") as Angel Dust. The project started filming this month in Vancouver.

The image references a "Cosmopolitan" photoshoot with Burt Reynolds from the 1970s, where the actor lies naked on a bearskin rug. The official "Deadpool" film Twitter re-posted the suit picture from Ryan Reynold's account with the tagline, "Eat your heart out, Burt Reynolds."

"Deadpool" is scheduled to premiere on February 12, 2016.
