Ryan Reynolds has earned universal acclaim for his portrayal of Deadpool, but he can't seem to master one thing about the Merc With a Mouth: his 2013 video game.

While promoting the release of Deadpool 2 in London, Reynolds sat down with Irish gamer Sean William McLoughlin, better known online as jakesepticeye, to play the Xbox 360 game.

Despite Reynolds' best efforts, he can't quite get the gameplay down, getting killed quickly and often in combat, and experiencing difficulty with navigating Deadpool through one of the early levels.

"When I was younger, I played a ton of video games," Reynolds explained "Now I have a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old at home, so there's just zero time for something like that."

"When was the last time you played a video game?" McLoughlin asked as Reynolds picked up the controller. "Castlevania," confessed Reynolds, citing the 1986 NES platforming adventure.

Reynolds passed off the controller back to McLoughlin, content to watch the experienced gamer play Deadpool, he admitted he's a fan of the work of voice actor Nolan North.

Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, and Julian Dennison as Russell. The film hits theaters on May 18.
