Deadpool 3 star Ryan Reynolds found a fun way to discuss the character's costume.

Reynolds shared a picture to his Instagram Story which featured the actor standing next to a piece of Deadpool balloon art on the street. The post was accompanied by a caption that read, "I don't know if we're updating the Deadpool suit yet. You can just ask me. There's no need to make your point via exceptional balloon art."

Reynolds has portrayed Marvel's Merc With a Mouth since 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which offered audiences a largely maligned version of the character before 2016's Deadpool premiered to replace the first silver screen iteration of the character with one more in line with his comic book counterpart. Deadpool was lauded by audiences and received mixed to positive reviews from critics upon release. It was followed in 2018 by Deadpool 2, which was also a critical success, only a year before the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by the Walt Disney Company.

Deadpool and Wolverine Finally Together

With Deadpool now residing in the House of Mouse, Deadpool 3 is expected to officially fold the titular antihero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deadpool 3 will also mark the return of Hugh Jackman to the role of Wolverine. Jackman has already promised fans that his next turn at the character will be unlike his past performances thanks to the interplay between Wolverine and Reynolds' Deadpool. Jackman said, "When I keep thinking of me and Ryan, of Deadpool and Wolverine, [who] are classic comic book rivals, there's also a dynamic that I've never really got to do before as Wolverine. I just thought, 'This is gonna be fun. Something I've never done before. I can't wait."

Jackman has also touched on how his role in Deadpool 3 will affect Wolverine's death from 2017's Logan. Jackman discussed the matter with Logan director James Mangold and noted that the latter was "Really cool about it." Jackman explained, "I did tell him that it took place before our movie. So, it wasn't going to screw up -- with the claws coming out of the grave. So, he was relieved by that. And he thought it was a really -- he totally got it. He thought it was a really good idea."

Deadpool 3 is set to hit theaters on Nov. 8, 2024.
