Ryan Reynolds recently recruited his own wife, Blake Lively, to help end their youngest daughter's obsession with the viral song "Baby Shark."In what some people may call a questionable act of parenting, the actor posted the promotional poster from the Lively-starring film The Shallows on his various social media accounts on April 25. He added the caption, "My one-year-old daughter is obsessed with Baby Shark. All day. Every day. And there's only one way to fix this."RELATED: Ryan Reynolds Celebrates 4/20 With New HighKey Snacks TV Spot

Released in 2016, The Shallows stars Lively as a medical student named Nancy Adams, who travels to a secluded beach for a solo surfing trip. Nancy's plans take a scary turn, however, when a great white shark attacks her and she's forced to swim to a giant rock located 200 yards away from the shore for safety.

Lively hilariously responded to her husband's plan by sharing his post on her own Instagram story and adding the caption, "...Well, at least they'll have ample content for therapy." Several fans were also quick to point out that Reynolds' method seemed a little extreme. Others had a laugh and shared their own struggles with the catchy-yet-insufferable song, as well as posted shark-themed memes and GIFs.

Reynolds and Lively have made a habit of poking fun at their relationship over the years. In addition to posting unflattering photos of each other on their respective birthdays, the couple has previously recruited the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman to get in on the fun. Back in April 2020, Jackman even joked that he called a truce with frenemy Reynolds due to his "concern" for Lively's well-being.

"[Jackman's wife] Deb actually said to me, really, this is a time to rethink all that and maybe it's time to build a bridge," the X-Men actor said at the time. "I wasn't ready for that, but then Blake [Lively] reached out. Blake and Deb have been brokering this thing and we came up with participating in the All In Challenge." Reynolds and Lively have been married since 2012 and share three daughters.

Reynolds' funny post came just a day after it was revealed in a new Aviation Gin commercial that former Star Trek star LeVar Burton would be replacing Reynolds as the brand's new ambassador.

The new spot opens with Reynolds explaining that he is "officially starting the [Burton] for literally everything campaign…" "Everybody's been saying how great [Burton] is," the actor continues. "So I decided to have him step in for me as spokesperson for Aviation Gin." The camera then cuts to Burton, who praises Aviation's "smooth refreshing taste" as an "out of this world gin and tonic" before taking a sip and making a funny face.
