Last time she was seen, she was thanking her husband for gifting her with an exercise bike for Christmas. Now, she's enjoying some liquor with her friends. The "Peloton Wife" scored Internet notoriety for the Peloton ad and now, Ryan Reynolds has recruited her to promote Aviation Gin.Reynolds poked fun at the controversy around the Peloton ad in his commercial for Aviation Gin. It opens with the "Peloton Wife" staring into the camera as she and her two friends toast to "new beginnings." Reynolds tweeted the add out, teasing, "Exercise bike not included. #AviationGin" The ad can be seen below.
The original Peloton ad came under fire for accusations of sexism. Many believed it showed that the wife was being pressured to work out by her husband who gifted her the bike unprompted. Reynolds' ad pokes fun at this, showing the wife hanging out with her friends. One friend tells her to get another drink while the other says, "You're safe here." After toasting to new beginnings, one of her friends ads, "You look great, by the way."
Reynolds' tongue-in-cheek brand of comedy is on full display as he subtly mocks one hot-topic ad to promote his own product. Aviation Gin is Reynolds' brand of distilled spirit first, produced in Portland, Oregon.
