Ryan Reynolds decided it was time to finally watch Green Lantern -- the superhero film he starred in a decade ago and likes to poke fun at throughout his misadventures as Deadpool.

Although 2011's Green Lantern was critically and commercially panned -- and Reynolds never shied from joking about his performance as Hal Jordan -- Reynolds admitted on Twitter that the watch wasn't as bad as he expected, noting, "While it's not perfect, it ain't a tragedy."

Reynolds gave a shoutout to the "hundreds of incredible crew and cast members" who worked on the film, calling their efforts "amazing." He also shared appreciation for the film's stellar cast during the Aviation Gin live-tweet event, adding, "There's a lot of heavy hitters in the movie. Not always used in the right way... but still ... heavy hitters."

Throughout his watch, he commented on aspects of the movie that landed -- the casting -- or missed the landing -- the film's CGI work -- overall. He also gave a shoutout to co-star Blake Lively, who he met on the set of this film and would later marry. He specifically called out Angela Bassett's role as Dr. Amanda Waller, noting, "Angela Bassett is stunning. Period."

The Green Lantern ended his watch with a drink of "power" and showing fans that he kept his lantern ring, sharing a glimpse of it online.

When asked why Reynolds jokes about his portrayal of Hal Jordan, he shared, "I think it's more about just laughing at myself, not laughing at other people, necessarily, that are involved in a project." He added, "In examining it, you take that energy that is -- typically, maybe it's hurtful or maybe it's something that's dragging you down -- and you end up creating a sort of mental Judo with it. You're using its energy against it and creating something positive."
