RWBY Volume 7 premiered in November of 2019 before concluding this past February. One month before Volume 7's premiere, it was revealed that the writing process for Volume 8 had begun. Several updates on Volume 8 followed. The concept/art development stage had begun by November, voice recording started in February 2020 (around the time Volume 7 finished airing), writing was completed in April and the actual animation began by March. While RWBY Volume 8 still lacks a premiere date, it appears the team behind the show is getting an even earlier start on the next volume even earlier than it did the last time around.

Created by Monty Oum, Rooster Teeth Animation's RWBY stars the voices of Lindsay Jones, Kara Eberle, Arryn Zech, Barbara Dunkelman, Miles Luna, Shannon McCormick, Neath Oum, Samantha Ireland, Jason Rose, Jessica Nigri, Jason Liebrecht, Aaron Dismuke, Michael Jones and Jen Taylor. Volume 7 is streaming now.
