Artist Stanley "Artgerm" Lau has revealed his variant for RWBY #5 -- the fourth and final cover he was commissioned to create for the DC Comics limited series.
The cover, which Artgerm shared to Twitter alongside his previous variants, aptly stars the fourth member of Team RWBY: Yang Xiao Long. Yang is seen in the biker-esque outfit she began wearing at the end of Rooster Teeth Animation's RWBY Volume 4 and kept until the recently-premiered Volume 7. Known for her fighting spirit, she is also seen with her fists clenched, shotgun gauntlet and robotic arm at the ready.
Back in August, Artgerm revealed he had been tasked with creating four variants for DC's RWBY comic -- one starring each of the show's four main heroes. With Yang taking center stage for issue #5, the prominent cover artist has effectively united Team RWBY as their comic book limited series continues.
Artgerm's first RWBY cover -- which stars series protagonist (and Yang's younger sister) Ruby Rose -- was released on Nov. 13 as the variant cover for the print edition of RWBY #2. His second -- which depicts Atlesian huntress Weiss Schnee -- was revealed back in September and is slated to go on sale in just a few days as the variant for RWBY #3. Finally, Artgerm's third RWBY cover -- starring Blake Belladonna -- was revealed just last month and will go on sale in January as the variant for RWBY #4. Now that RWBY #5's print variant has been revealed, it's safe to say Artgerm has concluded his series of covers with a Yang.
