According to Deadline, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have struck a deal with Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan, the creative duo behind the film “Swiss Army Man,” to produce the pair's next sci-fi feature film.

The still-unnamed film is said to not be a remake or reboot of anything we’ve seen before, but rather, an original idea much like “Swiss Army Man." The Daniels are purported to write, produce, and direct the sci-fi movie; the Russos will produce alongside Scheinert, Kwan, and Jonathan Wang, the latter of which was their partner on “Swiss Army Man.” Josh Rudnick at Mosaic will be executive producer with Russo Brothers partner Mike Larocca.

“Swiss Army Man” won the U.S. Dramatic directing honors at Sundance in 2016. Starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe, the latter portraying an overly gassy corpse. The movie tells the story of a young, homeless man stranded on a deserted island who ends up befriending a dead body. From there, the two embark on a bizarre and heartwarming adventure, all in the name of getting back home.

As it stands, the Russos already have plenty on their plate. Firstly, they are working with Valiant Comics; the two teams are coming to together to bring the superhero duo Quantum and Woody to the small screen. Valiant Entertainment will spearhead the project with the Russos, who will executive produce alongside Mike Larocca, Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari and Valiant CEO Dinesh Shamdasani.
