After finishing its historic run in theaters, Avengers: Endgame is finally available to watch at home. It's safe to say that fans will be pouring over the movie frame-by-frame and rewatching the film over and over again. Regardless of how long ago it was released, there are still plenty of questions fans have about the epic adventure.

Luckily for us, the film's directors, Anthony and Joe Russo, indulged their fans by participating in a recent Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) event. Though they certainly couldn't cover all the questions that flooded in, they did give plenty of new information about what we might have missed in Endgame, and possibly even some hints at the future of the MCU.

11 Old Steve Rogers Timeline

The concept of Old Steve Rogers is the kind of time-travel paradox that makes your head hurt if you think about it too long.

One Reddit user asked the Russos to clarify just how Old Steve can appear at the end without contradicting the time travel rules Banner laid out earlier. They responded by saying, "You are correct in that he would have had to have worn the quantum suit, using a Pym particle to make the jump…He's not wearing the suit on the bench, because that is not the exact moment to which he returned." We're not sure that makes things any clearer.

10 Cap And Mjolnir

Age of Ultron Cap Mjolnir

One of the best moments of the film has to be when Captain America finally lifted Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, proving that he is also worthy. It is a moment that was hinted at way back in Avengers: Age of Ultron and paid off gloriously here.

There were plenty of theories about how Cap might have been slightly unworthy but became worthy in subsequent years. However, the Russos confirm that they interpreted it as Cap was always worthy and simply didn't want to embarrass Thor in Age of Ultron.

9 Tony's Arc

Given that the Russos joined the MCU with Captain America: The Winter Solider and then continued the character's story in Captain America: Civil War, it's pretty obvious that they have a special attachment to the Captain America character. However, one Reddit user asked which other MCU arc was their favorite.

Not surprisingly, the brothers named Tony Stark as the character whose arc was most touching. It's hard to argue with the choice, as Stark's journey from selfish billionaire to self-sacrificing hero was mesmerizing.

8 The Soul Stone Reveal

Though each of the Infinity Stones was significant in their own way, the Soul Stone is perhaps the one with the greatest impact. Coming into Infinity War, the Soul Stone was the only one that had not been revealed. The price that came with the stone when found in Vormir played a big role in Infinity War and Endgame.

The Russos acknowledge how important it was to give real weight to this final stone, but claimed it was also a bit of luck. As they explained, the fact that they got to introduce the stone in this film is simply because no other MCU filmmaker decided to use it in their film.

7 Black Panther's Entrance

As Captain America is ready to face off against Thanos' entire army, he gets a transmission from Falcon before seeing a portal open behind him. Out steps Black Panther followed by nearly every MCU hero ever. It is one of the most memorable and emotional moments in the film.

One Reddit user wondered if it was always Black Panther who made the grand entrance or if another hero was considered to appear first. The Russos admitted that the sequence was edited late, but T'Challa seemed like the obvious choice since he would be the one leading the army.

6 Thor's Strength

Thor in AVengers: Endgame

One of the most interesting aspects of Endgame was seeing how these immensely powerful people are coping with defeat. Thor is certainly the character affected the most, as he has become a traumatized and overweight slob.

Though he spends most of the movie in a depressed funk, we do see him regain some of his fire during the final battle with Thanos. According to the Russos, Thor at that moment is not only back to his old self, but he's also more powerful than he's ever been.

5 Tony's Death Scene

With so many characters and such a massively complicated story, it's safe to say that not every day on the set of Endgame was easy. Though managing actors' schedules and dealing with the daunting technical aspects were surely hard, when asked the most difficult day on set, they gave a surprising answer.

According to the Russos, the death of Tony Stark was the most difficult day. While it might not have been an overly complicated scene, it's not hard to see why that's their choice. Stark and Robert Downey Jr. had been such a big part of this franchise; saying goodbye must have been tough.

4 Deleted Scene

Avengers: Endgame

Speaking of Stark's death, a certain deleted scene from the film had recently garnered a lot of attention. It takes place on the battlefield as Stark dies; all the surviving heroes then solemnly take a knee as a tribute to their fallen comrade.

The scene is no doubt powerful and one that the Russos quite liked. However, their reason for removing it from the film was simply because it felt too similar to the following scene which would show all the heroes gathered for Stark's funeral.

3 New Franchise

Jumping from the world of television comedy into the big-budget world of superhero films is quite a rise to power for the Russos. After making four massive films for the MCU, they seem ready to move on to new things.

When asked what other franchises or characters they might want to explore next, they gave an intriguing answer that they are currently working on something like that right now. This obviously caused a lot of speculation from fans, but time will tell what that project might be.

2 Fox Characters

As big as the casts of Infinity War and Endgame were, apparently they would have been even bigger if the Russos had their say. One Reddit user asked had the Fox deal gone through in time, how many more characters would have been added to these films. They responded, "double the amount."

There are a lot of those characters that play big roles in comic storylines so it's not hard to see why they would have wanted to add to the cast. Even more interestingly, when asked if there were any characters not yet in the MCU they would want to explore, their answer was Wolverine.

1 No Russo Cut

Making a superhero film is a lot of work and takes a lot of people. In some cases, too many people get involved and that can often make the film feel messy and unfocused. We see this most famously with the case of the Justice League "Snyder Cut". which fans think is the true vision of that film.

However, the Russos do not seem to have had any such problems while working in the MCU. When asked if there were any scenes they wish had been included in their Marvel films, they maintain that the released films are their complete vision.
