After months of speculation about whether or not the new Spider-Man -- played by Tom Holland -- would appear in "Captain America: Civil War," the screenwriters of Spidey's next solo film answered that question with an affirmative answer. Now, in addition to introducing Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Heroic Hollywood has heard from an unnamed source that there's one more actor playing an iconic character has shot scenes for the film.

Spoilers ahead for those that want to remain completely in the dark about the "Captain America" sequel.

According to an unnamed source, Spider-Man's most prominent and ever-present supporting cast member, Aunt May, will feature into at least one of his scenes in "Civil War." As HH points out, this is in line with what the Hollywood Reporter initially said regarding actress Marisa Tomei's possible attachment to the role.

It's worth pointing out that while Tomei was confirmed to play Aunt May back in July by news sites like THR and Variety, Marvel has yet to officially announce that the actress will play the part. They've also yet to officially confirm that Spider-Man has a role to play in the film, although an alleged press release and Holland's presence in Germany (where "Civil War" recently wrapped filming) supports claims that he has a part to play. Additionally, an Atlanta news affiliate reported on a local prop house that reportedly provided Peter Parker's bedroom furniture for "Civil War."

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and more, "Captain America: Civil War" opens on May 6, 2016.
