For a while, word was that Scott Eastwood's role in director David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" was one of a morally upright character, with the belief being that he was slated to bring Wonder Woman supporting character Steve Trevor to life.

Today, Heroic Hollywood has new information which indicates that the actor is bringing a very different, though no less popular character to life. According to HH, the actor's costume includes a nametag for S. Wilson, aka Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke.

When the word came down that Chris Pine was in active talks to join star Gal Gadot in the Amazon's first solo film as Trevor, Eastwood's character's identity once again became shrouded in mystery. If Eastwood is indeed Deathstroke, it would mark the second time the popular mercenary/villain has been portrayed in live action, having been played for several seasons of "Arrow" by Manu Bennett.

Heroic Hollywood also confirms previous rumors that Common is indeed portraying one of DC Comics' lesser-known villains -- the Tattooed Man -- in the film.

"Suicide Squad" is scheduled to arrive in theaters August 5, 2016.
