No sooner did a rumor surface that the second "Star Wars" anthology will feature Boba Fett and Han Solo comes another that suggests fans haven't seen the last of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Schmoes Knows, which presented that earlier rumor, now points to whispers that Disney is in negotiations with Ewan McGregor for "an unknown project" that, of course, is believed to involve him reprising the role of Obi-Wan. Citing an anonymous source, the website contends this wouldn't be for a mere cameo as a "Force ghost," or even a single spinoff, but rather for a potential trilogy separate from the anthology films (Cinelinx reported something similar in October).

The website floats the possibility that the film -- or films -- would center on Obi-Wan's activities between "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" and "Star Wars: A New Hope," as he watches over a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine. There could even be appearances by the likes of Owen Lars and Darth Maul, apparently.

As with Boba Fett, there's been gossip about an Obi-Wan movie (and, for that matter, a Yoda standalone) virtually since Disney announced its purchase of Lucasfilm in 2012. Whether, this latest report is an indication of some kind of movement or merely another rotation of the rumor mill remains to be seen.
