A new rumor suggests Deadpool might first appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during Tom Holland's third Spider-Man solo film.

According to MCU Cosmic, Marvel Studios is looking at three possible ways to introduce Deadpool to its cinematic universe. The first two ways see the Merc With a Mouth debuting in either his own solo movie or a Disney+ series. However, the possibility of him "guest-starring" in the sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home is also being considered. MCU Cosmic makes clear, at this time, these rumors are unconfirmed.

At this time, it's not totally clear how Marvel Studios will integrate Deadpool following his acquisition from 21st Century Fox. Disney CEO Bob Iger has said there's a possibility Wade Wilson's solo films will remain Rated-R. However, there's no guarantee Marvel won't opt for its standard PG-13 rating, despite the foul-mouthed hero's popularity.

Many fans have wanted to see Deadpool and Spider-Man interacting. The Merc With a Mouth and Wallcrawler have teamed up frequently in the comics. A sequel to Far From Home hasn't been announced yet, but it seems likely the film will happen at some point in the future, as Spider-Man is one of the franchise's most recognizable and beloved characters.
