The question is: can you still smell what the Rock is cookin'?

According to Life and Style Weekly, an unnamed insider has claimed that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been heating up a faux rivalry with "Fast & Furious" co-star Vin Diesel to build up to the April 2017 release of "Fast 8" -- with the "rivalry" rumored to culminate in a wrestling match in the WWE.

Back in the beginning of August, The Rock had some harsh words for one of his unnamed co-stars from "Fast 8," sending a message out on Instagram. "My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling -- you're right." Speculation immediately put the unnamed co-star as the Iron Giant himself, Vin Diesel.

This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right. Bottom line is it'll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part?. Final week on FAST 8 and I'll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses

While it's not explicitly known at this point when and where this supposed match will take place, what is well known is that wrestling's biggest event, WrestleMania, takes place in April. Next year is no exception with WrestleMania 33 taking place in the Orlando Citrus Bowl on April 2. "Fast 8" arrives in theaters on April 14, which means that this rivalry and WrestleMania are perfectly timed to promote the film -- if this rumor is true.
