No sooner did reports surface that fan-favorite "Star Wars" character Lando Calrissian would appear in the upcoming Han Solo movie than another rumor began to trickle out of Cloud City: that actor, comedian and rapper Donald Glover is the top choice to play the one-time owner of the Millennium Falcon.

Before fans blow up the internet, it's important to step back and take this tidbit with a grain of salt. Apart from Alden Ehrenreich's casting as the young Han Solo, details about the film are closely guarded. After all, this is a Lucasfilm production.

Still, as Birth.Movies.Death notes, Ehrenreich was the first choice for directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord ("21 Jump Street," "The LEGO Movie"). They went on to audition hundreds of actors, but ended up sticking with their initial pick. So, if that story is to be believed, it's still entirely possible we might see Glover in the film when it hits theaters on May 25, 2018.

Best known for his role on NBC's "Community," Glover has already been confirmed for "Spider-Man: Homecoming." His new comedy "Atlanta" also debuts Sept. 6 on FX.
