Director Deborah Chow received widespread acclaim for her work helming two episodes of The Mandalorian last fall. Now, it appears her efforts on that show may have caught the attention of Marvel Studios.

Marvel Studios has been discussing multiple projects with Chow, according to a report from MCUCosmic. Chow has actually worked with Marvel characters before, directing episodes of Iron Fist and Jessica Jones. However, the outlet describes the productions that Marvel is now eyeballing Chow for as being notably bigger in scope than those Marvel/Netflix programs.

If Chow and Marvel Studios are to join forces, the project would come after Chow's work is complete on the forthcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi show. Chow is directing all episodes of the Disney+ series.

Although there is no mention of specific projects Chow is being considered for, one potential candidate is Captain Marvel 2. That film sequel, currently scheduled for a July 8, 2021 release date, is looking for a female director, with names like Michelle MacLaren previously being touted as frontrunners for the job. It's also possible that Chow could end up directing one of the TV shows Marvel Studios is making for Disney+.

Deborah Chow is a filmmaker who got her start directing short films like Daypass and The Hill. Since then, she has predominately directed television, including episodes of hit shows like Better Call Saul, Lost in Space and Mr. Robot. She also directed the 2010 feature film The High Cost of Living.
