Actor Tom Ellis may play Lucifer Morningstar on the CW's upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover.Canadagraphs, who has in the past provided photos from the production of various CW shows, claims Ellis filmed a scene for "Crisis on Infinite Earths" on the set of The Flash with David Ramsey, Katherine McNamara and Matt Ryan. "They did a scene with Tom Ellis dressed like Lucifer Morningstar," the post said. First appearing in 1989's The Sandman #4, DC Comics/Vertigo's Lucifer was created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith and Mike Dringenberg. Lucifer originally started airing on Fox in 2016. However, the character moved to Netflix in 2019. It's unclear at this time what rights issues might influence whether or not he can actually appear in the crossover.

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" begins Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Supergirl, then continues in Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Helmed by Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as the Devil, Lauren German as Det. Chloe Decker, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Kevin Alejandro as Det. Dan Espinoza, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen Smith, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez and Inbar Lavi as Eve. Seasons 1-4 are available for streaming now on Netflix.
