As soon as Warner Bros. announced Suicide Squad as part of its ambitious DC film slate, a report surfaced that Ryan Gosling, Will Smith, Tom Hardy and Margot Robbie were being courted to star in what director David Ayer describes as "a Dirty Dozen with supervillains." That was quickly followed by a rumor that Jesse Eisenberg is in talks to reprise his role as Lex Luthor from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for the film.

Now add another potential name to the list.

Citing anonymous sources, Latino Review contends the studio is eyeing English model and actress Cara Delevingne for a villainous role in the film. That of course raises the possibility of her playing Harley Quinn, although the website notes early drafts didn't include the fan-favorite character. However, Ayer (Fury, End of Watch) is expected to take his own crack at the script.

The 22-year-old Delevingne had minor roles in Anna Karenina and Joe Wright's upcoming Pan. She'll next be seen opposite Kate Beckinsale in The Face of an Angel.

Suicide Squad arrives in 2016.
