Ruby Rose has traded in her Batwoman cowl for a John Wick-inspired persona in a trailer for the action-thriller Vanquish.

The movie co-stars Morgan Freeman and sees Rose cast as Victoria, a former Russian drug courier who is forced back into her life of violence by Freeman's retired policeman named Damon. Victoria must battle violent gangsters if she ever wants to see her daughter again.

Ruby Rose exited Batwoman back in May 2020, having only starred in one season of the Arrowverse series. She was later replaced by Javicia Leslie, who is currently starring as the new character Ryan Wilder in Batwoman Season 2.

The synopsis for Vanquish can be found below.

From the director of Double Take, Middle Men, and The Poison Rose comes this stylish, glossy action-thriller starring Morgan Freeman (Se7en) and Ruby Rose ("Orange Is the New Black") that shows what desperation can drive a person to do. A mother, Victoria (Rose), is trying to put her dark past as a Russian drug courier behind her, but retired cop Damon (Freeman) forces Victoria to do his bidding by holding her daughter hostage. Now, Victoria must use guns, guts, and a motorcycle to take out a series of violent gangsters — or she may never see her child again.

Directed by George Gallo, Vanquish stars Morgan Freeman and Ruby Rose. The film arrives on demand and on digital April 23, with a Blu-ray and DVD release on April 27.
