Ruby Rose has claimed that her former Batwoman co-star Dougray Scott filed a $10 million lawsuit against her after recent accusations made by Rose that Scott abused women on set.

"Dougray. I have too many witnesses coming forward with worse than just your anger Issues [stet].. but ur sueing me for 10 million cos @gberlanti shared his lawyer with you.. please.. come first so I can use the money from that case to take on g berlanti," Rose wrote on her Instagram stories. Scott has not confirmed or denied Rose's claims of a lawsuit.

On Oct. 21, over a year after she exited The CW series, where she played Kate Kane/Batwoman for one season, Rose made accusations on social media not only against Scott but against showrunner Caroline Dries, former Warner Bros. Television Group Chairman Peter Roth, co-star Dougray Scott and Berlanti Productions' Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. In regards to Scott, Rose claimed that the actor "hurt a female stunt double he yelled like a little bitch at women and was a nightmare." She continued, "He left when he wanted and arrived when he wanted he abused women and in turn as a lead of a show i sent an email out asking for a no yelling policy, they declined.."

Following Rose's comments, Warner Bros. Television released a statement defending Scott, who played Kate Kane/Batwoman's father Colonel Jacob Kane on The CW series. "We condemn the comments made by Ruby Rose about Dougray Scott. Warner Bros. has found Mr. Scott to be a consummate professional and never received any allegation against him of bullying, or of abusive behavior on his part. Mr. Scott was greatly respected and admired by his colleagues, and was a leader on the set," the studio said in a statement, as reported by Deadline. "Warner Bros. Television did not pick up Ruby Rose's option for an additional season because of multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed by the Studio."

In another statement released shortly after Rose's comments, Warner Bros. also called the allegations "revisionist history," saying that the network decided not to bring Rose back for Season 2 of Batwoman "based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned."

Following Warner Bros.'s statement, Scott since responded to Rose's claims, and also cited her "workplace behavior" as the reason for her not returning to the series. "I absolutely and completely refute the defamatory and damaging claims made against me by her; they are entirely made up and never happened," he said.

In the days following, Rose began releasing emails to support her allegations made about hazardous onset conditions and demands. Her accusations also included that Roth threatened to fire her if she didn't return to the set 10 days after neck surgery and that Dries' refusal to shut the production down during the pandemic indirectly led to an accident that left another production assistant paralyzed.

Rose left Batwoman in May 2020. She was later replaced by Javicia Leslie as new Batwoman Ryan Wilder and then by Krypton star Wallis Day, who played Kate Kane for several episodes in Season 2.
