Daredevil may have been cancelled after its third season by Netflix but the Marvel Cinematic Universe series was a huge hit with audiences.
Review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes has announced its awards for the highest-rated television series and films released in 2018, including the first ever Fan-Favorite TV Show honor, recognizing television series that received the highest audience rating on the site. Taking first place with an audience score of 96 percent is the third and final season of Netflix's Daredevil.
The MCU live-action series edged out strong competition including the third season of NBC's The Good Place, YouTube's Cobra Kai and fellow Netflix original series The Haunting of Hill House.
For the award's counterpart based solely on critics' score, none of the many superhero series premiering new content in 2018 were recognized, with the top honor going to FX's Atlanta. However, Daredevil had been a strong draw for audiences and was reportedly the fourth most in demand program on Netflix within the month of Season 3's premiere.
Now available on Netflix, Marvel’s Daredevil Season 3 stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Joanne Whalley as Sister Maggie, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter, Jay Ali as Rahul “Ray” Nadeem and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.
