Ronda Rousey recently explained that her reluctance to return full-time to WWE was due to fans. The former UFC wrestler made the statement while talking to Steve-O on his podcast Wild Ride! with Steve-O.

During the podcast, she elaborated on the reasons behind her reduced time with the organization, explaining that the time and effort would be better spent with her family, "What am I doing it for if I'm not being able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead... on a bunch of fucking ungrateful fans that don't even appreciate me?" Rousey said, "I love performing. I love the girls. I love being out there… but, at the end of the day, I was just like, 'Fuck these fans, dude.'" She added,"My family loves me and they appreciate me and I want all my energy to go into them... So that was my decision at the end of the day."

While she is not continuing with WWE full-time, Rousey mentioned she might occasionally pop up on Smackdown and RAW along with special events.

During the interview, she did speak fondly of her time with the organization. "I love the WWE. I had such a great time. I love all the girls in the locker room," Rousey stated, "Running out there and having fake fights for fun is just the best thing. I love choreography. I love acting. I love theatre. Live theater and some of the last forms of live theatre."

The UFC Hall of Famer began wrestling with WWE in 2018 after retiring from mixed martial arts in 2016. Rousey has not appeared on any WWE programs since losing the RAW Women's title on Wrestlemania 35. She has become the only woman to win a championship in both the UFC and WWE as well as the second-longest RAW Women's Champion.
