Rocksteady’s “Batman: Arkham Knight” Set For June 2015

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the new release date for Rocksteady’s “Batman: Arkham Knight,” the anticipated conclusion to the studio’s “Arkham” trilogy of video games. The finale will hit stores June 2, 2015 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. WBIE also revealed details about two collector’s editions of “Arkham Knight,” including the $99.99 Limited Edition and the $199.99 Batmobile Edition. While both collector’s editions will contain an 80-page art book, steelbook case and game disc, a limited edition “Batman: Arkham Knight” #0 comic book and a New 52 character skin pack with three different alternate costumes. However, while the Limited Edition contains a Batman Memorial Statue, the Batmobile Edition includes a fully transformable Batmobile statue made by TriForce.

Rocksteady’s “Arkham” series has a longstanding tradition of collector’s editions with extra content and physical collectibles — “Batman: Arkham Asylum’s” collector edition featured a wooden Batarang, while “Batman: Arkham City” featured a black-and-white statue of Batman.

“Batman: Arkham Knight” was delayed from its original October 2014 debut to a 2015 release in June, with representatives from Warner Bros. stating the delay was to “ensure that the trilogy get the epic conclusion that Batman fans want and deserve.”

“Batman: Arkham Knight” hits stores June 2, 2015 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
