The news can be pretty grim these days, but occasionally a photo or video comes along that can restore your faith in humanity. A picture released today by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is just such an image -- the upcoming star of DCEU's Black Adam, foe of the recently-cast Shazam, posted a candid shot of a meeting between comic book legend Stan Lee and himself during the recent Los Angeles Comic-Con. Check out the picture below, and try not to smile.

This man. This legend. When I first broke into Hollywood 17yrs ago, Stan Lee (iconic co creator of Spider Man, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Dr Strange etc) welcomed me with open arms. Always offering sage advice to help build my career. Be imaginative, set no limits.. have fun, he said. Years had gone by, but at Stan’s #LAComicCon I had the opportunity to hug him again and say thank you. I was also truly moved yesterday by his words regarding the career I’ve been fortunate enough to build. Much more to accomplish. Cheers my friend to imagination, no limits and fun. Next time tequila’s on me! Your Black Adam⚡️🥃 (@hhgarcia41 📸)
In the caption, Johnson recalls a touching moment seventeen years ago when he first met Lee, who "welcomed me with open arms. Always offering sage advice to help build my career. Be imaginative, set no limits...have fun, he said." Over a decade-and-a-half later, The Rock got a chance to thank Lee for the support and inspiration. "Cheers my friend to imagination, no limits and fun. Next time tequila's on me! Your Black Adam," he said.
Unfortunately, fans will still have to wait a bit longer to see the Rock in full-on superhero action, though it won't be in a Marvel Studios film. Black Adam currently doesn't have a release window, although Shazam! is due in theaters April 2019. Dwayne Johnson can next be seen in Jumanji, however, which hits theaters on December 20.
