WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Robin #1, by Joshua Williamson, Gleb Melnikov and ALW's Troy Peteri, on sale now.

As Damian Wayne has reclaimed his birthright as Robin, the Son of the Bat has discovered the existence of a secret society stemming from legacy of his grandfather Ra's al Ghul: The League of Lazarus. Damian's investigation led the Boy Wonder to enter a high-stakes martial arts tournament on the remote Lazarus Island, taking on some of the most deadly fighters in the DC Universe.

And as Robin discovers that the tournament rules has the participants of each match fight to the death, Damian is reunited with a familiar face from his Teen Titans past that he may have to go up against: Rose Wilson, better known as the superhero Ravager.

Ravager Respawn Robin

Created by Marv Wolfman and Art Nichols in 1992's Deathstroke #15, Rose was introduced as Slade Wilson's daughter who inherited his superhuman abilities and was trained by Nightwing, eventually rejecting her father's villainous legacy. A formidable fighter in her own right, Rose's enhanced genetics gave her a high-functioning sense of probability that allowed her to predict her opponents' moves in the heat of combat, giving her an additional edge. And serving alongside Damian on the Teen Titans for some of the DC Rebirth era, it's clear the two heroes have some unfinished business between one another.

Damian left the Titans on bad terms towards the end of the DC Rebirth era, doing everything from keeping a secret prison for defeated villains under the team's headquarters to actively try to avenge Dick Grayson's horrific injury at the hands of KGBeast by dismembering the assassin. All of this, coupled with the apparent death of Deathstroke at the hands of fellow Titan Red Arrow, led Batman to seemingly dismantle the Titans for good while trying to track down his wayward son. Ravager and Robin have not had the chance to meet again since this abrupt end to their tenure together on the Titans, and it's clear that the more bitter aspects of their history continue to remain unresolved between them.

Robin Respawn

Joining Robin and Ravager in this martial arts tournament is a whole host of elite fighters that have already proven their worth by besting some of the most accomplished hand-to-hand combatants in the DCU just to gain an invitation. Genetically engineered by Talia al Ghul and trained since birth by the League of Assassins, Damian is no slouch in the combat department himself but doesn't have anywhere near the same incredible abilities that Rose possesses. And to further complicate matters, Connor Hawke has made his Infinite Frontier debut, with the one-time Green Arrow now linked to the rival organization the League of Shadows and ready to face both Damian and Rose in the tournament.

It's only a matter of time before Ravager, Robin or Connor face off against each other in the tournament and, if they hope to advance per tournament rules, they're going to have to kill their opponent. This realization comes with Damian apparently enduring his own death at the start of the tournament so perhaps the League of Lazarus possesses the means to resurrect the fallen participants; given the League's moniker linked to the life-giving Lazarus Pit, this would be a fair assumption to make. Either way, at least one Titan is poised to fall during the tournament and potentially at each other's hands once the fighting begins in earnest.
