We Can Be Heroes, the upcoming superhero film from director Robert Rodriguez, has assembled its cast. The cast includes Christian Slater (Mr. Robot, The Wife), YaYa Gosselin (FBI Most Wanted, The Purge), Akira Akbar (Captain Marvel, This Is Us) and Pedro Pascal (Narcos, Wonder Woman 1984).

The film, which will be distributed by Netflix, is currently undergoing principal photography in Texas, according to Deadline. We Can Be Heroes will follow the children of superheroes as they work together to free their kidnapped parents.

Longtime fans of Rodriguez’s work likely won’t be surprised the director has signed on for an action-adventure film aimed at kids. The director also wrote and directed the Spy Kids movie franchise, as well as The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl. Rodriguez’s previous work includes Alita: Battle Angel and Sin City.

It was previous confirmed that Priyanka Chopra will star in the film, though details about her role have not yet been released. Similarly, while We Can Be Heroes now has a cast to credit, there’s no word on who Slater, Gosselin, Akbar or Pascal will be playing, though it is possible to surmise that the younger actors will be playing the movie’s young heroes, while Chopra and the remainder of the adult cast will play either the film’s titular heroes or its villains.
