Robert Rodriguez Pitches Kobe Bryant On A Black Mamba Movie

WARNING: The "news" you are about to read qualifies as product placement, so if you prefer not to be advertised to in your Internet wanderings, then wander on away. You should know, though, this advertisement also doubles as a remarkably bad-ass short film from Robert Rodriguez, featuring the talents of Kobe Bryant, Danny Trejo, Bruce Willis and Kanye West.

So if you're able to put aside the ugly specter of corporate sponsorship and focus on the ridiculously over-the-top exploits of Kobe's super-heroic Black Mamba alter-ego (also his line of sneakers), you won't be disappointed. And if you've still got issues hitting play, think about it like this: Rodriguez is busy with Spy Kids 4 right now. It's not out until August, meaning we won't be seeing any more adult-oriented fare from the guy until at least 2012. So take what you can get while you can get it.
