Although it's been a decade since Twilight first sparkled its way into theaters, star Robert Pattinson hasn't placed the blockbuster franchise behind him. In fact, the actor would consider a reunion in a heartbeat.

While promoting his latest project at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival, Pattinson remained keen to discuss the property that launched him into super-stardom, going so far as to say that it feels like "not a day has passed" since he last donned Edward Cullen signature fangs. He added that, even at age 32, “the amount of time I’ve spent moisturizing, I am ready to play 17 at a moment’s notice. Ready!”

While now known for choosing more art-house fare, Pattinson seems happy to reminisce about his teen heartthrob roles. Only three years before he made his big debut as Edward, a vampire doomed to remain a high schooler forever, he'd caught the attention of audiences with his turn in another franchise film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Looking back, Pattinson jokes that he “stopped mentally progressing around the time when I started doing those movies.” And although he became known for his occasional tongue-in-cheek dissing of those earlier films, he now has a message for those who don't like to admit to loving Twilight.

“Whenever anyone says [Twilight]’s their guilty pleasure," he said, "it’s like, you say guilty, what you really mean is just pleasure."

Unless (or until) there's word about any future films about Bella and Edward, Pattinson fans can get their fix in October when Lionsgate and Fathom Events hold their special 10th anniversary screenings in select U.S. theaters.

Pattinson now stars in director Claire Denis's sci-fi adventure High Life.
