The man that helped kickstart the Marvel Cinematic Universe will return yet again in the still untitled Avengers 4.

Taking to Instagram this weekend, Robert Downey Jr. confirmed he's returning for Avengers 4 alongside fellow Avengers Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America) and Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), as well as relative newbie, Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man). Downey Jr. posted a behind the scenes photo of their chairs with the caption, "New flick, new short chair."

The news comes after it was announced by IMDB that Iron Man 3 actor Ty Simpkins would be joining the fourth Avengers installment, with details surrounding his involvement remaining sparse for the moment. Speculation at the time suggested Simpkins was being brought back by Marvel to mourn the death of Stark who served as a mentor for his character, Harley Keener. And with the Russo brothers having previously teased potential deaths -- something a casting call has seemingly confirmed -- that speculation could very well prove to be true, however, it's also entirely possible Stark may simply retire and pass the mantle on to someone else. For now, we can at least celebrate knowing Downey Jr. will don the Iron Man suit for at least two more Avengers films.
