Robbie Amell Is Back as Firestorm in "The Flash"

A set photo from the hit superhero drama shows the returning star suited up and ready for action -- but is he from Earth One or Earth Two?

It remains to be seen whether this is the Ronnie Raymond fans know and love, or a potentially evil Earth Two doppelganger, but either way, Robbie Amell is back in his Firestorm outfit.

The photo, tweeted out by @Canadagraphs, shows Amell suited up and ready to flame on in his Firestorm outfit, complete with powered-up quantum splicer. While the tweet specifically points to "The Flash," it's also possible the actor is returning for an appearance on "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," as Victor Garber, aka Prof. Stein, aka the other half of Firestorm, teased last month in an Instagram post.

In early December, Amell tweeted his own Firestorm related tease, sharing a photo of the splicer with the text "Hello old friend." and a fire emoji.

"The Flash" airs on Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on the CW. "Legends of Tomorrow," starring Franz Drameh and Victor Garber as Firestorm, premieres on January 21, 2016.
