Rob Lowe is literally creating more Parks and Recreation content for fans along with show writer and producer Alan Yang.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two are teaming up to create a new podcast focused on the series titled Parks and Recollection. Lowe and Yang will discuss and recap episodes from the NBC series, which ran for seven seasons between 2009 and 2015, with an average of about 20 episodes per season. The podcast promises to deliver behind-the-scenes moments and cast member interviews with actors such as Chris Pratt, Fred Armisen and Ben Schwartz.

This announcement marks another victory for Parks fans that have craved more from their favorite sitcom. The series saw a reunion special last year during the COVID-19 pandemic, which raised $3 million for Feeding America. The special episode gave fans a look at how each of the series' characters were handling the lockdown and events of the pandemic, meeting up virtually to catch up and talk to one another.

Lowe played the character Chris Traeger on the series since the end of its second season. The actor's portrayal saw Chris as an energetic ball of positivity, whose goal was to be the healthiest man in the world. His introduction was as an auditor for the Indiana government, but he would choose to stay in the town's setting of Pawnee, Indiana as its City Manager, forming friendships and relationships with the other members of the Parks department, such as Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones), Leslie Knope (Amy Peohler), Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) and more.

The catchphrase and attribute of Chris where the character would always say the word "literally" was worked into another podcast with Lowe, Literally! With Rob Lowe, which began releasing episodes in April 2020. The show has seen 70 episodes since then, even featuring other members of the Parks and Recreation cast. Pratt was the first guest to be on the show, the only other Parks alum to appear being Offerman for the show's tenth episode. Many other guests have shown up though, ranging from Molly Ringwald to Jimmy Kimmel and beyond.

Since Parks and Recreation ended, Lowe has moved on to many other projects and series, his most recent being 9-1-1: Lone Star, where he portrays the lead role of Capt. Owen Strand. Meanwhile, Yang has served as a producer on other series such as The Good PlaceLittle America and Master of None, which was created alongside Parks and Recreation actor and comedian Aziz Ansari. Lowe and Yang will reunite in the first episode of Parks and Recollection, set to release on Sept. 14, 2021.
