Rob Liefeld has teased another new character set to debut in Marvel Comics' upcoming Major X miniseries, and brings far more questions than answers. He posted the design for Aura on Instagram, accompanied by handwritten notes.

Aura wears body armor fashioned from the face plates of Sentinels: There's one on each shoulder, another used as her own mask, and a larger one that serves as a shield. She also has an ammo belt with pouches, and what may be twin scabbards slung across her back. Liefeld didn't share too much information other than to note she was going to be involved in the Major X storyline.

Aura is the second character Liefeld has created for the event, with the first being Major X himself. There isn't much known about the X-Men crossover or the character, but Liefeld has promised it will "mix up everything in the X-world." Major X comes from an entirely new reality known as the "X-istence," where mutants and humans coexist peacefully until a tragedy forced him to cross over into Marvel's Earth-616 reality. Interestingly, he doesn't make his way to modern times, but rather appears in 1991, a period of X-Men comics that Liefeld knows well.
