Despite Ryan Reynolds' previous claims that a third Deadpool installment is in the works at Marvel Studios, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld says the film may never come to fruition.

"There may not be another Deadpool, and I’m fine," Liefeld said in a recent interview with Collider. "Because I have to live with the fact that I had two amazing experiences, two movies I’m extremely proud of, I love knowing everybody on those movies."

Liefeld went on to praise the cast of Deadpool and Deadpool 2, then mentioned how difficult making films could be. "You know, but in the world we live in, nothing is guaranteed. And it takes a lot to make movies. And post-quarantine, it’s weird." He failed to provide official confirmation that Deadpool 3 won't happen.

This isn't the first time Liefeld has commented on Marvel Studios' lack of plans for Deadpool 3, previously saying the production company doesn't have any films featuring the hero in their five-year plan. Liefeld also criticized Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige for having no Deadpool plans.
