As production continues for the DC Universe series Swamp Thing, details from the upcoming superhero horror drama series have been few and far between.

Despite that, the project has still unveiled an impressive cast of actors. Now, that cast just got a little bit bigger, as actor RJ Cyler has joined the series in an undisclosed guest-starring role.

Cyler isn't a stranger to the world of DC, since he has a recurring role in Black Lightning Season 2. Cyler is best known for his portrayal of Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger, in 2017's live-action Power Rangers reboot film. Cyler's acting credits include TV series such as Scream, I'm Dying Up Here and roles in Me and Earl And the Dying Girl and War Machine. t.

Cyler joins a cast featuring Andy Bean and Derek Mears who plays Alec Holland/Swamp Thing, Crystal Reed who will portray Abby Arcane, Henderson Wade who was cast as Matt Cable, Jennifer Beals who will play Lucilla Cable Will Patton as Avery Sunderland, Virginia Madsen who plays Maria Sutherland, Jeryl Prescott who was cast as Madame Xanadu, Ian Ziering as the Blue Devil, and Kevin Durand in an as-yet-disclosed role.

Executive produced by James Wan, Mark Verheiden, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear and Len Wiseman, Swamp Thing is scheduled to premiere on May 10 on DC Universe.
