The CW has ordered a pilots for a Riverdale spinoff titled Katy Keene, as well as Nancy Drew and an adaptation of the 1987 vampire film The Lost Boys.

Based on the Archie Comics character of the same name, Katy Keene is a musical comedy/drama that follows the classic fashion devotee and her friends as they head to New York City in an attempt to "make it on Broadway, on the runway and in the recording studio."

Katy Keene debuted in 1945 in Wilbur Comics #5, and has been reinvented on at least two occasions, over the decades, most recently in 2005, when Archie reintroduced her as a high school student with aspirations of becoming a model.

Katy Keene will be the second series to expand the Riverale universe, following Netflix's hit Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The pilot will be written by Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Michael Gassi.

The network has also greenlit a pilot for a new, untitled series based on the popular teen detective book series Nancy Drew.

"Set in the summer after high school graduation, 18-year-old Nancy Drew thought she'd be leaving her hometown for college," reads The CW's official description. "But when a family tragedy holds her back another year, she finds herself embroiled in a ghostly murder investigation - and along the way, uncover secrets that run deeper than she ever imagined.

The Nancy Drew pilot will be written by Noga Landau (The Magicians), with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Schwartz (Gossip Girl, The O.C.).

The Lost Boys pilot, written by Heather Mitchell (Scandal) and executive produced by Rob Thomas (iZombie, Veronica Mars), appears to follow the plot of the film, at least in broad strokes: “After the sudden death of their father, two brothers move to Santa Carla with their mother, who hopes to start anew in the town where she grew up. But the brothers find themselves drawn deeper and deeper into the seductive world of Santa Carla’s eternally beautiful and youthful undead.”
