Riverdale Season 4 Adds Vida Star in Recurring Role

Mishel Prada -- one of the leads on Starz' Vida -- has joined the cast of The CW's Riverdale for the Archie Comics-based series' upcoming fourth season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Prada will appear on Riverdale Season 4 in a recurring capacity as Hermosa, a private investigator hailing from Miami who "arrives in town in classic femme fatale fashion." Furthermore, the character of Hermosa is described as "confident, ambitious and calculating - and knows that everything comes with a price."

Prada's new role in Riverdale will reportedly not interfere with her status on Vida, which itself was recently renewed for a third season. Since the Starz drama premiered in the early summer of 2018, she has played the character of Emma Hernandez, one of the show's main characters. Additionally, Prada previously appeared in a leading capacity on the AMC web miniseries Fear the Walking Dead: Passage, which ran from late 2016 to early 2017.

Returning to The CW on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. EST, Riverdale stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Casey Cott, Mark Consuelos, Skeet Ulrich, Marisol Nichols and Madchen Amick.
