Riverdale, Sabrina Creator Signs Overall Deal With Warner Bros. TV

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa will be a busy man in the coming years, as the Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina creator has signed a new deal with Warner Bros. TV while continuing to run both shows.

Aguirre-Sacasa will develop and produce new projects for the studio through his Muckle Man Productions company, with the agreement running into the mid-2020s. In addition to running the two shows for The CW and Netflix respectively, Aguirre-Sacasa will also serve as executive producer for the Katy Keene spinoff from Riverdale at The CW.

Given the popularity of Riverdale, it seems that Warner Bros. has taken notice of how Aguirre-Sacasa manages to create new twists on established properties by modernizing them for new audiences. Seeing as the show is The CW's second most popular program behind The Flash, while Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been renewed through the fourth season, it looks as though Warner Bros. made the right call with signing Aguirre-Sacasa.

Airing Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Riverdale stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Ashleigh Murray, Casey Cott, Mark Consuelos, Skeet Ulrich, Marisol Nichols, Madchen Amick and Luke Perry.
