Archie and his Riverdale classmates take center stage in photos from the upcoming CW series.
Archie and his beloved cast of characters will make their small screen debut in The CW series "Riverdale," which puts a darker spin on the normally lighthearted Archie Comics franchise. New photos from the pilot give a closer look at Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, and more, along with locations the teenagers will be frequenting throughout the series.
In the photos, we see what looks to be a school dance, with Josie and the Pussycats' Josie McCoy performing on the guitar, Cheryl Blossom in a red dress preparing to address the crowd in front of a microphone, and Archie and Betty Cooper arm-in-arm for a romantic dance. Other photos show Veronica Lodge and her mother looking like high society, Betty in her Riverdale cheerleading outfit lip-syncing into a hair brush, and the main cast of Archie, Veronica, Betty, and Jughead peeking through the window of their favorite hangout spot, the local diner.
Starring K.J. Apa as Archie Andrews, “Riverdale” will debut Thursday, January 26 at 9 pm on The CW. The series also stars Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Ross Butler as Reggie Mantle and more.
